The inception of International Conference on Islamic Arts and Architecture (ICIAA) took place in the International conference on Muhammadan Arts (ICMA) in 2006 held in Isfahan.

The idea of ICIAA was realised with the organization of ICIAA 2007 in Delhi. Since then Lahore and Isfahan have hosted 3rd and 4th editions of the ICIAA in 2008 and 2010 respectively.

The 5th Edition of ICIAA is again hosted in Delhi during 11th to 13th November 2011.

International Conference on Islamic Arts & Architecture (ICIAA) is a collaborative endeavor  of the  Universities and Institutions across the Globe, imparting education in the fields of Islamic Arts and Architecture.

With the objective of initiating deliberations and dialogues on the rich heritage and traditions vis a vis the contemporary context, the ICIAA aims to further the research & development in the areas of arts and architecture of Islamic realm.

ICIAA follows the philosophy of pluralism inviting scholars, academicians and professionals from all disciplines all countries to participate of the innumerable aspects of Islamic Arts and Architecture.
